Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the life of the work-at-home and stay-at-home mum and dad’s best friend: the daytime sleep.

From the moment we first met, I fell truly, madly and deeply in love with you. Offering respite from the demands of newborn, infant and toddler life, you slotted yourself in so nicely into our everyday world, endearing us with your sense of reprieve so much so that we wondered how we ever managed without you in the first place.
