How many times have you lamented your lack of luck in life, in striking out time and again in the thing you most want to achieve? And how many times have you shaken your fist at the universe and blamed it for your inability to chalk up a win?
If you take a leaf out of Oprah’s book (and I suggest you do!) you’ll start looking at lady luck a little differently. It’s not something we are owed, or divinely, randomly blessed with. It is something we earn, much like everything else worthwhile in life. I know there are times I have been labelled with this “lucky” tag and I know each time it was more than just some sort of life fluke. I’d done the work and the universe knew I was ready.
So the next time you curse your lack of luck, or please with the universe for a larger share, know this: “I believe luck is preparation meeting opportunity. If you hadn’t been prepared when the opportunity came along, you wouldn’t have been lucky.”
Amen to that Lady O!
