Out of all the hundreds and thousands of words of wisdom Oprah has imparted into this world since 1986, it is these five words I treasured most – “you become what you believe”. And because I, like Oprah, believe there is no such thing as merely “coincidence”, the fact that today I received an invitation to sign up to a 21 day Oprah & Deepak Chopra meditation experience, entitled “Become what you believe” I feel it only fitting to share today just why this small sentence has had such a big impact on me.
It’s something she has been espousing for so long I can’t even recall just when it first seeped into my consciousness. It simply always been with me – a profound statement I know to be true.
If you think about it, it just makes so much sense! The energy we put out into the universe, whether that be happy, sad, fruitful or fruitless, is what it will return to us. Lack attracts lack, and likewise abundance attracts more of that thing you want to attain.
True, it isn’t always so easy to simply switch to this mode of thinking, but if you, like me, make small reminders everyday to further entrench this line of thinking into your consciousness, change will come. And now, having it adorn my vision board also acts as a sharp reminder to return itself to a positive state.
Reaffirm your goals and align your mind towards what it is you are striving to achieve. Most of all, have faith in yourself that you will achieve those things you desire most. With the right amount of hard work and self belief, you truly will become what you believe.
