Eco-villages are fast becoming a popular alternative in housing in Australia, with over 20 currently operating. Some, like The Eco-Village in Currumbin, situated on Queensland’s Gold Coast, are leaving their rivals in the traditional housing development market in their wake. So far they’ve accumulated 33 awards for their work, which means they’ve much knowledge to impart to those of us who don’t live in this environmentally-friendly setting but do want to adopt the same principles of living.
